Common questions
The short version of our standard staffing agreement. The agreement you sign may add detail agreed between us, but this is the shape of it.
Who employs the workers?
Workers we assign remain employees of Vision Associates Inc. We handle recruitment, screening, payroll, statutory deductions, and the employment records the law requires. You supervise the day-to-day work; we carry the employment.
How does billing work?
We invoice at the hourly rate we agree with you before the assignment starts. Invoices itemise regular hours, overtime hours, and any public holiday hours separately, and are payable within 30 days.
What happens with overtime?
Overtime is billed only when you've authorised it, at the overtime rate we've agreed together in advance.
Can we hire an assigned worker permanently?
Yes. For six months after an assignment ends, we ask that permanent hiring go through us rather than direct solicitation — where permitted by law, a conversion fee may apply by agreement.
Who is responsible for health and safety?
You provide a safe workplace, inform workers of any hazards, and supply required protective equipment. We can and will remove a worker from a site we consider unsafe.
What if someone isn't working out?
Tell us right away. We'll work to replace the person as quickly as we reasonably can.
Looking for work in Ontario?
Register once and we'll match you to assignments as they open. There is never a fee for workers — that's the law, and we follow it.
